Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring?

So you've booked a fishing trip! Your Guide will supply you with everything you need for a great experience on the lake. However, your Guides recommend you bring the following:
  • Camera
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Your favorite fishing pole (if desired)
  • Rain gear/other weather-appropriate clothing items
  • A cooler with beverages of your choice!
  • Snacks (if desired)
  • Your current fishing license: Click here to order your MN Fishing license!

Who needs a Minnesota fishing license?

Both resident and non-resident anglers need a valid Minnesota fishing license to fish with us.  If you are a Minnesota resident, you need a license if you are age 16 or older.  If you are not a Minnesota resident, all anglers need a license regardless of age. There are a variety of license types available for both residents and non-residents. Fishing licenses are valid from the March 1st of the current year through the last day of February the following year. Click here for more information on the different types of fishing licenses!

Where do I meet you? Do you pick me up?

We will meet you with the boat at the resort of your choice or a specific landmark discussed the day prior to your trip. If you're not sure about a specific place to meet, any of our guides can recommend an easy pick up/drop off location.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Venmo, Zelle, check, and cash for both deposits and trip payments, but cash is preferred if possible.

Do I tip my fishing guide?

Our fishing guides do their best to give you an amazing experience with memories to last a lifetime. Tips are greatly appreciated - we leave the amount up to you!

What if it rains?

We have a canopy on our boat to keep you dry during rainy weather! We won't cancel a trip unless it is unsafe to go out on the water.
