1937-2019
The patriarch of the Jean family, Captain Ron took pride in teaching all of his children how to fish and sharing his passion for the outdoors. Captain Ron eventually ran the family business - Rainy Lake Guiding - with two of his sons - Scott and Bruce. With a contagious smile that never stopped, Captain Ron had not only an optimistic attitude for fishing but the skills and experience to go along with it. Although Captain Ron left us in 2019, his memory lives on as Scott and Bruce share his fishing knowledge and preserve the Rainy Lake Guiding legacy.
